There are two ways a pupil can be referred to Alternative Provision:
Direct School Referral
Your child’s home school will need to complete the attached referral form and send it through to the Alternative Provision Team. The AP team will then make contact with you as the parent to discuss the referral before passing it onto the relevant provision. Once the referral has been sent to the provider an interview day and time will be agreed. A member of the AP Team will attend the interview with you and your child to offer support and help with any queries you may have.
Referral via the Admissions Team (BACME)
If your child is in Year 10 or 11 and not currently attending a mainstream school and you would like them to be considered for AP then you need to approach the BACME team who will help you to apply for this pathway.
