Coronavirus

Hawkswood Secondary Therapeutic has and will always remain open for all pupils throughout the pandemic.

Should pupils have to isolate as a result of COVID 19 work will be sent home by our teachers for pupils to complete if they are not sick.

In the case of a school based mass COVID 19 outbreak which could potentially cause staff to be at home, we would move live lessons onto Google Classroom.

All parents and pupils should follow public health guidance.  We encourage pupils and staff to test twice weekly on a Tuesday and Friday.  We also offer on-site testing for pupils who are unable to test at home, or who would like support with testing.

Testing kits can be obtained free of charge from our main school office.

Pupils should only remain at home if they test positive for COVID or if they are symptomatic and awaiting a PCR test result.

Pupils are no longer required to self-isolate if they are close contacts of someone who tests positive, unless they become symptomatic or have a positive PCR test themselves.

Please see below risk assessments and associated documents for our COVID response.
