What are we doing to support our pupils and school?
Thankfully, we have been able to stay open throughout the whole of the pandemic, with no school closure periods - even opening over holiday periods for additional support for our pupils.
Being a small school, we have enough space for pupils and staff to safely socially distance in the building, including in all our classrooms.
Pupils and staff are all encouraged to wash and sanitise there hands on arrival and as they leave, including during lesson change over, breaks and lunch times.
All pupils and staff were requested to test, using the Lateral Flow tests, three times per week throughout lockdown three. This ran so smoothly and families commented on how happy they were that we were providing this preventative tool to safeguard their children we have continued to LFT test twice weekly since the beginning of Summer Term. We believe by asking pupils and staff to test onsite, providing time and the resources to do this it not only helps our families it enables any potential case to be picked up very quickly should a member of our school community be Covid positive.
Please make yourself aware of the signs and symptoms that may be present if infected, if you think you or your child is infected do not send them to school - please organise for a PCR test right away. If you need support we are happy to provide a PCR test for you and can deliver it for you if requested.
Do not hesitate to ask to speak to our staff team if you need any further information.
