''Children work hard and do good here. That's really important'' - Year 3 pupil
End of Key Stage Tests
KS1 Children attend Hawkswood Primary on a three-day-a-week basis. We aim to resettle Year 2 children back into their mainstream schools in time for the end of KS1 assessments. For any year 2 children still attending the Nurture Group in the Summer Term, the mainstream school maintains the responsibility for assessing the child and the Nurture Group teacher will discuss thier own assessments with the mainstream teacher to reach agreement.
Year 6 children who attend full time will sit their end of KS2 tests (SATs) here. This will include children for whom Hawkswood Primary is named on thier EHC Plan.
End of Key stage 2 SAT Results
Out of the 5 children who took their SATS in July 2018, just one child was working at age related expectations upon entry to the PRU. The other 4 pupils ranged from 1 to 3 years working below the national expectations upon entry. The pupil's results are evidence of the hard work and effort on behalf of both the staff and pupils alike, to ensure that the 'gap' is closed between them and their national peers and that pupil's have high aspirations for their future. We are so very proud of every single student at Hawkswood Primary.
A scale score of 100 or more shows that the pupil has met the National Expected Standard in the test.
Code description:
100 or more = Achieved National Expected Standard
90 - 100 = 10 marks or less from achieving the National Expected Standard
80 - 100 = 20 marks or less from achieving the National Expected Standard
