Wellbeing and Enrichment Curriculum
These sessions allow students to learn in different ways both on and off site, using external providers as well as our own staff. Sessions offered include swimming, cooking, boxing, music therapy, cricket, multi sports and mixed creative arts. This is part of our planned curriculum but may involve other providers such as Spark for Life and wider university and work placement opportunities.
We are currently delivering AQA Unit Awards which allow students to gain vocational and academic certificates recognising the the work standards they have achieved. We will be using these awards to allow our pupils to experience a wide range of subjects including PSHE, Horticulture, Arts & Crafts, Cookery and outdoor learning.
We have also been able to secure placements at various off-site courses including Horticulture and bike maintenance at The Higham Hill Park Hub. The students have enjoyed these courses immensely, particularly in relation to future careers.
We are planning to offer a range of trips to broaden and enhance the experiences of students.
